Western Michigan University Yearbooks
1906 through 1975
This collection of digitized yearbooks allows accessing memories and information of earlier years at WMU very easy. The pdf files are complete digital versions - cover to cover. Also they are searchable within each yearbook using the Acrobat software 'find' window for your search word(s). Note that some headings in special fonts or angled text are not searchable.

Original yearbooks are located at the Western Michigan University Archives and Regional History Collections, 111 East Hall. The yearbooks continued to be published through 1985. From 1976 to 1985, the yearbooks contained senior photographs and little else. They were not digitized for this project.
The yearbooks from the 1960s and early 1970s may have 300-450 pages make a very large pdf file. They have been optimized and reduced in file size but some are still over 35 MB and even 50 MB in size. If your computer or Internet connection does not handle large files well, be sure to check the file size before trying to open them.
This digital preservation and access project occurred during 2009 by the Digitization Center, University Libraries with the help of many student workers and the Youth Opportunities Unlimited program. As more information is completed there may be more data and tools to use, so please check back.
